Lancashire’s Lighthouse Radio came about from a coming together of like minded Christian people who had previous radio experience. The name was chosen to give a sense of belonging and safety.

A particular verse mentioned within the Harmony of the Gospels played a major part in the direction that the programming should take, to ‘fish' for all God's children requires variety:

Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all state the following:-

‘And he said to them, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men”.

We broadcast 24hrs a day through live shows and pre-recorded content using DJ 2LR (our auto-dj).

Our content varies, ranging from talk, music (varying genres including Christian and secular) and has something for all tastes and age groups. We broadcast not for profit and self fund.
